Sports Massage Therapy

Accidents Happen

As we all know, accidents happen and they can often result in injury. When an injury is left untreated the tissue state can change and fascia can become stuck, as a result Biomechanics will be affected.

We assess each individual’s biomechanics prior to treatment. Incorrect balance left over a period of time will cause surrounding muscle groups to work differently. Muscles can often become short, weak or congested and fascia pliability can change, this also can lead to injury.

Identify Imbalances

Once any imbalances have been detected, a personal treatment plan will be prescribed. If poor tissue state is found we will recondition, re-programme and rehabilitate so biomechanics can regain equilibrium.

We ask that you work with us and carry out relevant exercises and stretches to achieve your maximum flexibility. It is essential that you concentrate on mechanical correction and balance throughout treatment and in daily living to promote a speedy recovery.

Training Advice

We will advise you on training, and will encourage you as an individual to return to fitness as and when safe to do so.  It is important to complete the course until your tissue state has been reconditioned.

Sports Injury Massage involves fascia and connective tissue manipulation. It is can sometimes be quite uncomfortable and may bruise after your first treatment. However, this treatment can really help any injury. You do not have to be a sports person to benefit.

Exercises

The following exercises and stretches are helpful to most clients whether or not you are suffering from injury.
They help with both mobility and flexibility, practice them on daily basis if possible.
